On This Day In Pro Wrestling History (June 12, 2006) – Fake Kane Debuts

Kane

On this day in Pro-Wrestling history in 2006, a Kane imposter appeared for the first time, confronting the original Kane (Glenn Jacobs) by sending him off the entrance ramp on Raw, while wearing the Old School 1997 Kane’s gear.

Under the mask of the Fake Kane was actually Andrew Hankinson, who would later become known under the names Festus, D.O.C. & Luke Gallows. He also came out to the old school Attitude Era entrance theme of Kane.

The two later wrestled at the WWE Vengeance PPV, where the imposter won, but the storyline was dropped shortly thereafter.
