On this day in Pro Wrestling history in 2002, Brock Lesnar faced Triple H for the first time ever. This was a non-televised match.

This was a battle of the “WWE Champion vs. World Heavyweight Champion” with only the WWE Championship on the line.

WWE Champion Brock Lesnar went on to defeat the World Heavyweight Champion Triple H in that match to retain his Title. This match took place in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. – Brock Lesnar def. Triple H in a “Steel Cage match” at Extreme Rules 2013.
