• The big topic of discussion on the road to WrestleMania 40 is which match should main event Night 2 – Roman Reigns vs. The Rock or Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes.
WCW Legend Diamond Dallas Page said Cody should get the main event for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship because he feels The American Nightmare is the new ‘People’s Champion’.
Here’s what DDP said on Busted Open Radio:
“The reason why [the WrestleMania 40 main event] works for Cody and Roman — it’s old school. Everything about it is old school. Let’s build to the big pay-per-view, which is doing the biggest business they’ve ever done as far as numbers are concerned.
They’re doing the biggest business; that’s what it comes down to, and Cody is a humungous reason for that.
Now, he’s — the original ‘People’s Champion’ was Muhammad Ali. Dusty Rhodes. ‘Diamond’ Dallas Page. The Rock. And now it’s Cody. That’s ‘The People’s Champion’. They want it so bad.”
• On last week’s SmackDown, Austin Theory vs. Carmelo Hayes ended due to Referee Stoppage after a scary spot where both men landed on their heads.

WWE later announced that Austin and Carmelo suffered face contusions, and both will be okay.
Carmelo returned to action on last night’s NXT, where he competed with Trick Williams in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.
On the other hand, Theory is currently undergoing medical protocol. According to the Wrestling Observer, WWE will make sure that he’s not concussed.
