• Details On Scrapped Fatal-4-Way Hell In A Cell Match For The Universal Title
Roman Reigns defeated Jey Uso in the first ever “I Quit – Hell in a Cell” match to retain his Universal Championship at last month’s Hell In A Cell pay-per-view.
As we noted before, WWE planned to end the feud with Uso losing to Reigns at Clash Of Champions, but they decided to continue it after seeing the positive response from the fans for this storyline.
The Wrestling Observer is reporting that the original plan for a Universal Championship match at Hell In A Cell was a Fatal-4-Way match inside Hell In A Cell.
Reigns was supposed to defend the Title against “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt, Braun Strowman and another wrestler.
WWE had teased a rivalry between Reigns and Fiend by having Alexa Bliss stare at Reigns on an episode of SmackDown, but they seemingly dropped the plans for it.
