Below are a couple of top WWE news stories of the day, involving Dolph Ziggler and Mark Briscoe.

• Former World Heavyweight Champion Dolph Ziggler is still under a non-compete clause after his WWE release. This clause will end on December 20.

While he is already doing his comedy shows, he still hasn’t made a wrestling appearance.

However, his first wrestling appearance after WWE release has been announced now. He’ll be working a show for World Wrestling Council in Puerto Rico.

He will face Ray Gonzalez in his first post-WWE match, which will take place on January 20th 2024.

You can watch Ziggler cut a promo about this match below, where he called himself the hottest free agent and the most wanted man in professional wrestling today:

• 13-Time ROH Tag Team Champions The Briscoe Brothers used to call themselves “Dem Boyz”.

They teamed for 22 years, until Jay Briscoe’s death in January 2023 in a car accident.

WWE on FOX’s Twitter account (which is run by FOX employees, not WWE’s social media team) tweeted the following for Bobby Lashley & The Street Profits during Friday’s SmackDown:

“DEM BOYZ!”

AEW wrestler Mark Briscoe wasn’t happy with this and tweeted the following:

“For real?? This sh*t is hilarious. Triple H, whoever runs this twitter should probably be fired for lack of knowledge. Or they need the taste slapped out of their mouth for lack of reverence.”
