During an interview on Logan Paul’s Impaulsive podcast, Dominik Mysterio was asked about his real-life wife’s reaction to his on-screen romantic storylines with Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley.
Here’s what Dirty Dom said:
“We’ve been together since we were 14, and we’re 27 now. She is honestly the best. I do what I do on TV, and when Rhea licked my face, the first text I got from her was there’s a tarantula in our garage.
She gets it. She gets the split. She understands the difference from like when I’m on TV I’m Dirty Dom and I come home to her and I’m her husband Dominik.
There’s a huge difference as far as like when I come home too. So like I just want to rest and she like she does a good job of separating work and real life and stuff.”
Earlier this month, Rhea Ripley did an interview with TV Insider, where she was asked about the reaction of her real-life husband, AEW wrestler Buddy Matthews, to her romantic storyline with Dominik Mysterio.
Here’s what Mami said:
“There is a level of respect. Luckily for me, Buddy is in the business, so he knows what goes on and is needed from us. He understands my schedule, storylines, everything. He gets it.
He was in the same sort of thing with Aalyah Mysterio. I feel like us keeping communication of what is going on is the level of respect that is needed between an actual relationship and an on-screen relationship. He knows I love him, and I feel safe with him. And he feels safe with me, nothing will change that.
With Dirty Dom, we have fun. We had that special connection too, even though it was more work-related. We have that connection. I love doing things with him. I love working with him. I love this storyline. I love everything about it. The two get along, which is always a plus.”
