At tonight’s NXT: The Great American Bash, Dominik Mysterio defeated Wes Lee and Mustafa Ali in a Triple Threat Match to retain the NXT North American Championship.
Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley put Wes through the announce table with her finisher. During the ending moments of the match, Ali had Wes beat, but Rhea pulled Ali out of the ring while Ali was pinning Wes.
Dirty Dom then hit the Frog Splash on Wes for the win.
After the match, NXT booker Shawn Michaels wanted to shake Dominik’s hand backstage, but Dirty Dom ignored him and Mami pushed HBK away.
The 2-time WWE Hall of Famer then shouted the following:
“Daddy should’ve spanked your a$$ when you were a kid.”

Later in the show, Dominik & Rhea made fun of Dragon Lee backstage, by calling him the wannabe Rey Mysterio. Dirty Dom said he made the Mysterio name relevant.
Dom’s next feud for the North American Title is expected to be against Dragon Lee.
