[showhide more_text=”Read More” less_text=”Read Less”]The team of WWE Women’s Champion Charlotte and Dana Brooke will face the team of Sasha Banks and a mystery partner at tonight’s PPV. This mystery partner is supposed to be former NXT Women’s Champion Bayley (she’s backstage for tonight’s Battleground 2016).
This would explain why NXT’s top female wrestler wasn’t among the six drafted NXT wrestlers to the main roster (as WWE wanted a big surprise for the PPV).
The original plan for Bayleys main roster call-up was for her to debut after NXT Takeover: Back To Brooklyn, where she faces Asuka for the NXT Women’s Championship.
But it looks like Triple H is in favour of calling her before SummerSlam 2016 due to lack of female wrestlers on both Raw and SmackDown Live.
