At last night’s NXT Battleground 2024 premium live event, Roxanne Perez defeated TNA Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace to retain the NXT Women’s Championship.
Tatum Paxley came out during the match and tried to steal Grace’s TNA Title. TNA wrestler Ash By Elegance (fka Dana Brooke) returned to WWE TV and stopped Paxley. Jordynne took both of them out. Due to this distraction, Roxanne put away Grace to retain her Title.
After the show, Roxanne was bragging about her win in a backstage interview and was interrupted by RAW star CM Punk.
Punk told her the following:
“Hold up, just calm down for one second. I’m sorry to burst in here. Listen, you’re the champion for a reason. You’re head and shoulders above all these women here. You’re head and shoulders above all the TNA Knockouts. But tonight, you got lucky. I need you to focus on this; I need you to be who you are. I need you to be The Prodigy. You don’t need anything else.”
Perez replied:
“Thanks for the advice. What a hypocrite, huh?”

Perez later tweeted:
“I took his advice in 2011 and now I’m the bad guy??? smh @CMPunk”
Drew McIntyre tweeted the following about this situation:
“Even people who grew up idolizing CM Punk are already sick of him.”
