New AEW star Adam Copeland – better known as WWE Hall of Famer Edge – and former WWE Diva Beth Phoenix got married on October 30th 2016, and they have two daughters, Lyric, born in December 2013, and Ruby, born in May 2016.
Ever since Edge made his debut for Tony Khan’s promotion on October 1st 2023, fans around the world have been wondering if his wife would join him, similar to how the wives of Miro (Rusev) and Jon Moxley (Dean Ambrose) also followed their respective husbands to All Elite Wrestling eventually.
Here’s what Adam had to say on the AEW WrestleDream post-show media scrum, after he was asked whether Beth could join him in the future:
“Anytime I get to be close to Beth, obviously, I’m going to be super excited about that. I don’t know about the possibilities of that in the foreseeable. I love being around her, obviously, and we’ve had a blast when we did get to work together.
Where she will be instrumental without anyone knowing it is she is my sounding board. If you see me do something that you think worked, it was always bounced off Beth and she always gives me better ideas back. It’s kind of amazing to be married to a Hall of Famer. It’s pretty cool. Who can suplex you.”
The “you think you know me” phrase at the starting of Edge’s AEW theme song (Alter Bridge’s Metalingus) was recorded by Beth, who is also a singer.
Edge is a former 11-time World Champion (4x WWE Champion, 7x World Heavyweight Champion) and achieved a lot of other things during his WWF/E career, including King of the Ring (2001), the first Money In The Bank winner (2005) and he’s also a 2-time Royal Rumble winner (2010 & 2021), among many other championships.
In 2012, he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame by his best friend, fellow WWF Attitude Era Legend Christian.
