Edge Turns Down Reports Of In-Ring Return, Reacts To Kofi Kingston’s WWE Title Loss

On this day in 2000, Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling aired an episode of their weekly TV show ‘WCW Thunder’ on TBS.

This episode was pre-taped in Long Beach, California and featured matches & storyline segments on the road to the ‘WCW Halloween Havoc 2000’ PPV.

• Edge Turns Down Reports Of In-Ring Return, Reacts To Kofi Kingston’s WWE Title Loss

As we noted earlier, Fight Oracle reported that WWE Hall of Famer Edge has been cleared by the doctors to make a return to in-ring action and he’s expected to make a comeback soon.

However, it looks like that’s not the case. Edge turned down these rumors by tweeting the following:

Edge’s last match took place back in 2011 at WrestleMania 27, where he defeated Alberto Del Rio to retain the World Heavyweight Championship. Edge retired as the World Champion.

Edge last appeared in WWE on the SummerSlam 2019 Kickoff Show, where he speared Elias. This was the first time Edge did something physical in a WWE ring since his retirement.
