WWE Hall Of Famer Edge celebrated his 25th year anniversary in WWE on tonight’s episode of SmackDown (tap here for complete results) in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
WWE paid homage to him throughout the night. The Rated-R Superstar wrestled Sheamus for the first time ever in the main event of the show and won the match.
This was Edge’s last match under his current WWE contract.
After SmackDown went off the air, Edge cut a promo and thanked the crowd. He told them that his match against Sheamus was his last match in his hometown of Toronto.
“What I can say is this is my last time in front of you all. I don’t think that I can make another full year here again for a match.
I’m just being honest with ya. But don’t let that be a downer… ’cause man what an experience you all gave me. I will never forget it. I will never forget it.”

WWE shared another clip of his promo, where he said he’s not sure if he wants to retire yet or not.
“I don’t know what the future holds. I really don’t. I gotta sit home this week, lick my wounds, talk to my family and see what they want me to do.
But what I can say Toronto… is thank you!”
