• Eric Bischoff Defends The “Murder” Angle In WCW

Eric Bischoff has long been criticized for WCW Halloween Havoc 1995, where Hulk Hogan seemingly “killed” The Giant (Big Show) by throwing him off a building – only for The Giant to reappear minutes later to wrestle.

On the 83 Weeks podcast, Bischoff defended the controversial segment, arguing that wrestling has always been a mix of drama and theater, yet gets held to unfair double standards.

“People will watch a movie where someone gets shot, stabbed, or blown up – and they love it,” Bischoff said. “But if wrestling does anything remotely theatrical, suddenly it’s too far.”

He admitted that while it was “a stretch,” he never saw the moment as literal violence, but rather as over-the-top comic book storytelling.

“Wrestling lives in that gray area between action and absurdity,” he added. “We just leaned too far into the absurd that night.”

• Hall Of Famer Open To WWE Return After 22 Years

Scott Steiner has had a complicated history with WWE. After years of distance from the company, he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame alongside his brother, Rick Steiner, as part of The Steiner Brothers in 2022. His nephew, Bron Breakker, continues to rise as one of WWE’s top young stars.

Bron, who held the NXT and Intercontinental Titles twice, is currently leading The Vision on RAW. The 28-year-old has been a part of the main event scene since April and is expected to receive a major push from WWE.

During a panel at Geek’d Con, Scott Steiner was asked if he would be open to appearing on-screen with Bron in WWE. The former WCW World Heavyweight Champion said that he’d be willing to return if the company wanted him to.

“I mean, I would definitely help them all if that’s what they wanted. I mean, I haven’t thought about it, but if they did think that I could do something with them, yeah, I’d definitely go back and help them out. It would be great.”

Scott Steiner’s last match in WWE was the 2004 Royal Rumble match almost 22 years ago. That was the last time Big Poppa Pump was an on-screen character in the company.

• Jinder Mahal Says Vince McMahon Didn’t Notice His Major Botch Against WWE Legend

In his Inside The Ropes interview, Jinder Mahal looked back at one of the most talked-about “botches” of his career – the moment during the 2018 Greatest Royal Rumble event where he appeared to take a bump from “thin air” in his match with Jeff Hardy.

The moment went viral among wrestling fans, leading to countless memes and criticism. But Jinder now laughs about it. He explained that it was simply a miscommunication between him and his manager at ringside, who mistimed his cue in Punjabi.

“He kept saying, ‘Not now, not now,’ and then suddenly switched to ‘now!’ – just as nothing actually happened,” Mahal said, laughing. “I felt something hit my back – it was just air – and I took the bump.”

Surprisingly, Vince McMahon didn’t even notice the mistake. Mahal revealed that when he went backstage afterward, Vince was in a great mood because of how successful the Saudi event was financially. “He was all smiles. I even brought it up and apologized, and Vince just laughed and said, ‘Ha,’” Mahal recalled.

While the internet roasted him for years, The Modern Day Maharaja said he takes it in stride. “Mistakes happen, man. I’m not perfect.”
