• Eric Bischoff Fires Back At Ric Flair – Says Flair Played No Role In WCW Beating WWF For 83 Weeks

During the famous Monday Night Wars, Ted Turner’s WCW defeated Vince McMahon’s WWF in the weekly Monday TV-Rating for 83 weeks in a row, from June 17th 1996 until April 6th 1998, before the World Wrestling Federation finally broke that streak on April 13th 1998.

‘The Nature Boy’ Ric Flair said the following about former WCW President Eric Bischoff:

“Eric is called a visionary for 83 weeks. Well, all Eric did really is use all of (Ted) Turner’s money, not his own. He bought 83 weeks. He didn’t outsmart McMahon. He bought 83 weeks with somebody else’s money, which eventually bankrupted the company.”

Bischoff then took to Twitter and claimed that Flair did nothing to help their promotion in defeating the WWF for 83 weeks uninterrupted.

Here’s what Bischoff tweeted:

“Ric will never get over the fact that it took the nWo, DDP, Goldberg, and others to finally get WCW to profit and to beat WWE at their own game. It wasn’t @RicFlairNatrBoy, the 4 Horsemen or any of the previous WCW ‘stars’. Get over it Ric. Enjoy your life.”
