Below are a couple of top WWE news stories of the day, involving Randy Orton and Bobby Lashley.

• During his appearance on Kurt Angle’s podcast, Matt Riddle thanked his former WWE tag team partner Randy Orton for being there for him when he was going through a divorce.

Here’s what The Original Bro said:

“I’m super stoked for Randy coming back and everything like that. I can’t thank him enough for being my tag team partner.

He really helped me out through a lot of tough times because I was going through a divorce at the time and everything else and he’s been through a similar situation.

He was just a real brother, especially when you’re on the road, it’s not like I can call anybody.

I can, but it’s not the same, and to have him there and be that supportive, because you know how Randy can be, for him to be that supportive to me, it was nice. Randy has a spot in my heart forever.”

Riddle won the RAW Tag Team Championship twice with Orton during their run as RK-BRO.

• WWE has officially turned Bobby Lashley and The Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins) from heels to babyfaces after a recent storyline on television.

After being attacked by Karrion Kross & Authors Of Pain on the New Year’s Revolution edition of SmackDown, PWInsider reports that Lashley and The Street Profits’ status has been changed to babyfaces in the WWE internal roster list.

On last night’s SmackDown, Paul Heyman pitched Lashley the idea of becoming The Bloodline’s partner for the main event, but The All Mighty turned him down and was more interested in facing Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, thus indicating a babyface turn.
