4. Rusev Begins His Dominant Run Again
After losing the United States Championship last year at WrestleMania, Rusev is expected to capture the gold for the second time tonight at Extreme Rules 2016.
WWE played a storyline that Kalisto won’t compete on SmackDown due to Rusev injuring him on Raw this past week. But the reason behind that storyline being made was Kalisto was doing promotional work in Mexico.
However, another implication could be that WWE doesn’t want to make Kalisto look weak and lose clean to Rusev, so WWE wants to portray that Kalisto wasn’t a 100% heading into the match.
