• Fan Shares A Feel-Good Braun Strowman Story From WWE Super Show-Down

Reddit user ‘pbreathing’ shared a feel-good Braun Strowman story from WWE Super Show-Down weekend.

You can read it below:

“I live in Melbourne, and wanted to share a fun little story that my friend told me about yesterday. Knowing I like wrestling, she started off by asking, “Have you heard of a big wrestler called Bran something?”, but a few questions later I got all of the details. And it’s hella cute.

She works in hospitals, as part of an international program that looks after kids who are long-term inpatients. When WWE was in town for SSD, her company was told to gather up a lot of personnel at the big hospital in Melbourne, because John Cena was coming for a visit and it would be a big deal. They even got kids from other hospitals in the area bussed over, so they wouldn’t miss out.

On the day, they were told Cena couldn’t make it (no details on why), but that Braun Strowman would be taking his place. Braun showed up on very-short-notice, and spent hours doing the rounds, getting photos with all of the kids and playing games.

All of the people my friend works with agreed, as one, that Braun was one of the nicest, sweetest celebrities they’d ever worked with as part of their program. Even when his time was over (and he had jetlag to contend with, not to mention SSD), he stuck around to chat with the workers and made sure everyone was happy.

The highlight of her day was a little ‘performance’ they had planned – basically getting all of the kids to sit around in a room with Braun at the front, so that they could all get some time with him at once. He was playing an interview-type game, where my friend and her co-workers would fire silly questions at him and put him on the spot.

One of them was ‘Who is your favourite Disney princess?’, and Braun answered ‘Elsa’ with no hesitation at all. The company happened to have a speaker with ‘Let It Go’ ready to play (for the next part of the ‘show’ that didn’t involve Braun), so my friend pressed play.

Without knowing it was going to happen, Braun heard the music, immediately clutched at his heart and stared at the back of the room with a far-away-look in his eyes. He then did an impromptu dance in front of a room full of kids, for the whole first verse and chorus of the song.

I thought this was such a cool story, that someone young, and with only a few years in the company, could already be put in these situations and do such an awesome job. If Cena’s getting phased out of WWE, it looks like Make-A-Wish might have an heir already in place.”
