Below are a couple of top AEW & WWE news stories of the day, featuring Chris Jericho and Triple H.

• Former AEW & TNA wrestler Kylie Rae has ignited renewed discussions about past allegations involving Chris Jericho after posting a tweet on January 5.

Rae quote-tweeted an article about a lawsuit alleging inappropriate behavior by a Fox Sports executive and Skip Bayless, writing:

“Man abuses his position of power to $exually harass woman. A tale as old as time. I pray for a better future.”

While Rae didn’t mention Jericho by name, fans quickly linked her message to her earlier claims about an alleged inappropriate interaction with the WWE Legend, reportedly tied to her AEW exit.

“Yo Jericho SHE FINNA BE ON YO A$$,” one user commented, while another wrote, “WE WILL MAKE SURE THE PERSON’S NAME THAT RHYMES WITH BIS HERICHO PAYS FOR WHAT HE ATTEMPTED TO DO TO YOU!!!”

Reactions varied widely, with some offering support and others criticizing Rae. One user asked, “Didn’t you accuse Jericho?” while another lashed out, “Says the b*tch who levied false accusations against Jericho.”

GIFs of Chris Jericho also appeared frequently in the conversation, including his “You just made the list” and “Hi guys” GIFs, suggesting that fans believed Rae’s tweet subtly addressed Jericho.

• For a long time, fans have criticized AEW for the use of blood in too many matches (especially in Jon Moxley’s matches) and too much cursing in promos.

During an interview on The Press Box podcast, WWE’s Chief Content Officer Triple H addressed the cursing during promos and the use of blood in wrestling:

“I’m not a big believer in, you know, oh my God, this show would be so much better if everybody could drop the F bomb. Who cares? Like, put it this way, if you’ve written such a bad television show that you need that to make it work, and I’m not saying it can’t work.

It’s like being a comedian. You can use every curse word there is as a comedian, and it can be awesome. You can also not use any, and it can be awesome. There’s a way to do both, but I’m not a big believer in… it needs it to be successful.

And I’m also a big believer in that rarities of those things create moments — I believe that the profanity, the blood, all those things, do they have their place? Can they be meaningful tools? Yes. Do them all the time, they mean nothing.”

Many fans on social media pointed out that HHH indirectly took shots at All Elite Wrestling here.
