Below are a couple of top WWE news stories of the day, featuring Brock Lesnar, Matt Riddle, and Goldberg.

• Brock Lesnar’s absence from WWE television, lasting over a year, continues to fuel speculation about his potential return. Plans for Lesnar earlier this year were reportedly shelved following his indirect mention in Janel Grant’s lawsuit against WWE and Vince McMahon.

Recent photos of Lesnar enjoying life at home have surfaced, but WWE insiders have dismissed rumors about his comeback, even after subtle references to him by Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins on an episode of RAW.

However, Adam Pearce’s recent social media post has reignited fan theories. Pearce shared a photo of Lesnar being taken out on a stretcher, sparking speculation in the comments section.

Some fans believe Lesnar could return at Survivor Series 2024 as the 5th man for Roman Reigns’ Original Bloodline in the WarGames match, possibly alongside Paul Heyman, or to attack Roman.

What this cryptic post actually signifies remains unclear, but fans are buzzing.

• Goldberg and Matt Riddle had a rocky relationship, marked by their public dislike for each other. However, the two have since improved their rapport.

During an interaction backstage at SummerSlam 2019, Riddle claimed that Goldberg confronted him about past comments, including Riddle’s critique of Goldberg as an “unsafe worker”. According to Riddle, Goldberg also bragged about his wealth during the exchange.

While speaking to SK Wrestling, Riddle recalled the incident:

“Bill wasn’t happy about it. That day, there’s that one skit that’s caught on camera. Then we ran into each other again where we had a longer talk and he basically said I was very disrespectful by saying what I said, and I go, ‘I don’t think I was.’ Then he goes, ‘How do you figure?’ I go, ‘Because I wasn’t lying.’ He goes, ‘Well, my bank account’s huge.’ I go, ‘I bet it is.’”

Despite past tensions, Goldberg has acknowledged in interviews that while he doesn’t necessarily like Riddle as a person, he still appreciates him.
