As we all know, Goldberg will face Kevin Owens for the WWE Universal Championship at FastLane 2017. Current plan is for Goldberg to defeat Owens to capture his third World Title.

The reason behind Goldberg winning the Title is that Vince McMahon wants the match between Goldberg & Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 33 to be as big as possible.
Also, Vince wants to milk Goldberg’s return as much as possible, which would be to get new WWE Network subscribers as much as possible and then possibly turn them into permanent subscribers by making them a fan of the current product (which is quite hard) or hook them to the Network with the Old School Wrestling content.
