As of this writing, the following 8 matches have been officially announced by WWE for WrestleMania 39:

Undisputed WWE Universal Championship Match: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Cody Rhodes

United States Championship Match: Austin Theory (c) vs. John Cena

– Brock Lesnar vs. Omos

Hell In A Cell Match: Edge vs. Finn Balor

– Seth Rollins vs. Logan Paul

SmackDown Women’s Championship Match: Charlotte Flair (c) vs. Rhea Ripley

RAW Women’s Championship Match: Bianca Belair (c) vs. Asuka

– Trish Stratus and WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Lita & Becky Lynch vs. Damage CTRL (Bayley, Dakota Kai & IYO SKY)

According to WrestleVotes, WWE is planning a Fatal 4-Way tag team match for both men & women:

“I’m told 2 additional matches are coming to the WrestleMania card. Both Men’s & Women’s four way tags. The men’s lineup is currently scheduled as:

Street Profits vs. Alpha Academy vs. Viking Raiders vs. Braun Strowman & Ricochet.”

No word yet on if these men’s & women’s matches will be #1 contenders matches for the Tag Team Titles.

• Old School Wrestling Veteran Celebrates His Birthday

Old School Wrestling Veteran Samoa Joe (Real name: Nuufolau Joel Seanoa) celebrates his 44th birthday today.

Samoa Joe joined the World Wrestling Federation’s developmental promotion Ultimate Pro Wrestling in 2000 and made his WWF debut towards the end of the famous Attitude Era during the March 3, 2001 episode of WWF Jakked/WWF Metal.

Joe originally made a name for himself in the early years of Ring of Honor, before joining ‘Total Nonstop Action!’ in 2005, where he became a well known star and also won multiple Championships, including a win over WWF/E Legend Kurt Angle for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship at the ‘TNA LockDown 2008’ PPV.

After almost 10 full years with the company, he left iMPACT Wrestling (TNA’s new name) in early 2015 and joined WWE’s developmental department ‘NXT’, just a few weeks later.

He currently works in AEW & ROH.
