Tonight at WrestleMania 39 Sunday, Edge faced “The Demon” Finn Balor inside Hell in a Cell.

The classic Hell in a Cell returned for this bout, as WWE has retired the red structure. However, the steel chairs in this match were red.

The WWE Hall of Famer ended up defeating the alter-ego of The Judgment Day member.

During this match, Edge hit Balor in the head with a Ladder, which busted him open.

The match was stopped for a few minutes, so the trainers could fix the wound.

On the post-show press conference, Triple H said the trainers fixed Balor’s wound in the ring with staples, to stop the bleeding. HHH said Balor is fine.

After the show, Balor revealed his huge cut on the head:

On this day in Pro Wrestling history (April 2, 2022) World Wrestling Entertainment aired ‘WrestleMania 38 – Night 1’ (WrestleMania Saturday) LIVE on PPV (WWE Network) from the AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas.

This was only the 3rd ever 2-night-event in WrestleMania history (since it first started in 1985).

Night 1 drew 77,899 fans to the stadium and featured WWF Legend Stone Cold Steve Austin coming out of retirement for one final match, which happened to take place in his home state of Texas.
