Below are a couple of top WWE & AEW news stories of the day.
• Brogan Finlay entered WWE after a tryout in September 2023, becoming the latest addition to his renowned wrestling lineage.
His father, the legendary Fit Finlay, gained fame in the United States through WCW and later enjoyed a career resurgence in the WWE.
At 21 years old, Brogan is the brother of current NJPW wrestler David Finlay, with whom he teamed up on a NJPW STRONG show in 2021.
Brogan made his in-ring debut in NXT during a Live Event in February 2024, reigniting a generational rivalry as he faced Charlie Dempsey, the son of William Regal.
Transitioning to TV on NXT Roadblock this week, Brogan Finlay adopted the ring name Uriah Connors. Under this new moniker, he squared off against Shawn Spears a week after the former AEW star’s surprising return to WWE.
Despite Connors’ efforts, Spears swiftly secured a victory before being confronted by Ridge Holland, whom Spears subsequently attacked with a chair during his comeback.
