Bayley was attacked backstage during the WrestleMania 41 Saturday countdown show and got pulled from the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match on Night 2.
Becky Lynch returned and replaced Bayley as Lyra Valkyria’s tag team partner, and the two went on to defeat Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.
Triple H said the following about Bayley on the WrestleMania post show:
“Don’t worry, guys, Bayley will be just fine. True pro. Cannot say enough good things about her. True pro.”
On the RAW after WrestleMania, Michael Cole provided the following update on Bayley:
“Bayley has a partial shoulder dislocation with an anterior labrum tear.”
On Busted Open Radio, Baron Corbin aka Bishop Dyer went off on WWE for doing this to Bayley:
“I’ve had a few days to kind of calm down because it made me extremely angry. F**k you, that’s my sentiment. I mean, to do it to Bayley of all people. Someone who’s been there through COVID. Has made lemonade out of dogsh*t repeatedly… is a model f**ing employee.
I don’t give a sh*t if she knew the storyline (ahead of time). Please, do all this, take all these bumps, work your a$$ off, and two days before we’re gonna replace you. And I know Bayley’s going to be fine, but that is a moment and it is bullsh*t all the way through.
She didn’t get to be on WrestleMania. She went down to NXT, elevated talent, does everything you’ve asked of her. Bayley deserved to be on WrestleMania. It is insane to me that you take that moment away.”
