• Old School WCW Valet Celebrates Her Birthday

Old School WCW Valet Midajah (Real name: Melinda McCullum) celebrates her 50th birthday today.

Midajah joined Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling in late 1999 and first showed up on WCW TV in early 2000 as one of the “nWo Girls”, 4 valets of the infamous nWo 2000 faction.

When the nWo 2000 stable folded, she became the valet of “Big Poppa Pump” Scott Steiner, most famously managing him during his 2000/2001 World Title run.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIDAJAH!

• FLASHBACK: The Undertaker Comments On Winning The WWF Title In His 1st Ever WrestleMania Main Event 23 Years Ago Today

23 Years ago today, WrestleMania 13 took place and The Undertaker defeated Sycho Sid in the main event to win the WWF Championship.

The Undertaker went 6-0 at WrestleMania after this win.

During an old magazine interview, The Undertaker had the following to say about his Title win:

“Here’s a guy who has this incredible intensity and awe-inspiring physical presence. He’s tremendously strong and very charismatic. It was my first and only WrestleMania main event and it was for the [WWF] Title.

I call it like it is for my matches and this match was so-so. For all the good attributes that Sid had, he did have some in-ring limitations.

Our styles kind of conflicted so it wasn’t a great match from a pure wrestling standpoint, but I did win that night and began my second reign as the World Wrestling Federation champion.

Winning the title is an extraordinary feat and it is very special at any time, but to win it at WrestleMania and to be highlighted as the main event, you just can’t ask for anything more.

That is what we strive to do. That’s when all the years of hard work, blood, sweat, and tears pay off.”
