• Former AEW Star Isn’t Returning To WWE In 2025
In a move that will likely temper the hopes of many wrestling fans, Saraya (fka Paige) has stated that she does not foresee a return to WWE in 2025. The former AEW Women’s World Champion, who recently departed All Elite Wrestling after over two years, addressed the ongoing speculation about her future during an appearance on the Grune Rome Show.
Saraya revealed her intentions to dedicate the upcoming year to personal growth and exploring ventures beyond the wrestling world. “Yeah, I do want to take 2025 as a time to find myself a little bit and kind of get my feet wet outside of wrestling, and it’s something I definitely want to do,” she stated on the podcast.
The outpouring of fan support for a potential WWE comeback also came as a surprise to Saraya. “I didn’t realize so many people would want to see me back in WWE,” she admitted.
The wrestler also candidly spoke about her personal struggles with self-perception, acknowledging that the constant chatter surrounding a possible WWE return has prompted her to be upfront with her fanbase. “I’m very insecure about how I think people view me. I get in my head a little bit, and so the fact that, I mean, it’s just insane how many people are talking about me going back to WWE. I just want people to not get their hopes up. At least not this year,” Saraya explained.
Furthermore, Saraya expressed uncertainty about her potential place within WWE at this moment, despite being aware of the widespread speculation. “I don’t even know if there’s a place for me there right now, but I get that a lot,” she said.
Adding further clarity to the situation, Saraya recently disclosed that there have been no discussions with WWE regarding a potential return. “People think I’m going back to WWE or whatever, because there’s this huge rumor mill happening right now,” she clarified. “But I haven’t spoken to them. At least not right now, I haven’t spoken to them.”
