• Former Announcer Claims WWE Treats Their Fans As Stupid
Former WWE announcer Renee Young (Renee Paquette), who is married to fellow former WWE Superstar Dean Ambrose (John Moxley), claims that her husband’s current company All Elite Wrestling does not treat their fans as if they were stupid, like WWE is doing.
Here’s what she said on her Oral Sessions podcast:
“They (AEW) don’t treat their fans stupid, in terms of not knowing what this is and we’re going to beat you over the head to make sure you understand it.
I understand the reasoning of why they do that obviously, but I think with smart fans, and the way that people have access to looking into information that they might not know and being able to connect the dots themselves, I think that there’s something really cool about that that people like to have that sense of discovery, rather than being talked to like they don’t understand.”
Renee Young worked for Vince McMahon’s company from 2012 until 2020.

• On This Day In Wrestling History (July 30, 2001) – Old School NWA President Passes Away
On this day in 2001, we lost Old School NWA President Dennis Coralluzzo at the age of 48 due to bleeding in the brain.
Coralluzzo was the president & a board member of the National Wrestling Alliance from 1993 till 1999.
He was seen on ECW TV in 1994, where he was interviewed after Shane Douglas threw down the NWA World Heavyweight Championship belt and rejected the title, but some WWF fans might also remember him from appearing on RAW IS WAR in 1998, where he presented the NWA North American Heavyweight Championship, a title that was won by “Double J” Jeff Jarrett a few minutes later.
