• Former Champion Could Return On Friday’s SmackDown

On an episode of SmackDown earlier this month, The Usos defeated The New Day (King Xavier Woods & Kofi Kingston) in a Street Fight to retain the SmackDown Tag Team Championship.

During this match, Woods got injured while hitting Jey Uso with a Tornado DDT.

Woods appeared on G4’s Attack Of The Show and revealed that he tore the Plantaris muscle under his calf, and he’ll be out of action for 4-6 weeks.

According to PWInsider, Woods is scheduled to return to the road for WWE this Friday on SmackDown.

However, word going on is that he might not be cleared to wrestle yet, so expect him to miss the Men’s Royal Rumble match.

On this week’s SmackDown, Kofi & Big E will team up to take on Happy Corbin & Madcap Moss. It’s possible that Woods just appears along with his New Day brothers.

Xavier Woods is an 11-time WWE Tag Team Champion (RAW & SmackDown) as part of The New Day.
