• Former Champion Was Terrified During First Meeting With Vince McMahon

Former WWE Women’s Champion Mickie James was recently interviewed by The CLS Experience, where she revealed her experience of meeting legendary Old School WWF/WWE promoter Vince McMahon for the first time.

Here’s what she had to say:

“I went home and I reset and I came up with this character, this story, this idea for this character who was a massive super fan which was genuinely in my heart.

I was able to come up and cultivate this character that I was like, ‘This’ and I pitched it and I remember walking into Vince’s office with this idea and I go, I’m like, ‘I heard you read my idea and you liked it’ and Michael Hayes is the one who said, ‘You need to walk into Vince’s office, you need to tell him that you wrote that. You need to tell him that nobody can play it but you,’ and I’m like, ‘Oh God’.

This is backstage, I’m like in Columbus, Ohio, driving up from Louisville which is the developmental territory OVW at the time and I’m like, ‘I don’t know if I can do this’.

The whole time I’m sitting outside of Vince’s office I’m like, ‘I feel like I’m gonna vomit’.

It was the scariest, if you’ve never met the man in person, he’s so, he has this aura about him and he’s so powerful and so intimidating but yet so genuine and real.

He’s always been kind and genuine to me and I’m just like, I was terrified for my life.”

Mickie James wrestled for World Wrestling Entertainment from 2005 until 2010 and then again from 2016 till 2021.

She’s now married to the current NWA World Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis (fka Brutus Magnus in TNA).

• Old School Wrestling Legend Celebrates His Birthday

Legendary Old School Wrestling Personality Eric Bischoff celebrates his 66th birthday today.

After being an announcer for the AWA and WCW, he moved up the ladder and became the President of Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling promotion, as well as the on-screen manager of the most famous faction in Professional Wrestling history: The New World Order (nWo).

The last time we saw him in a major role on TV, was for TNA iMPACT Wrestling from 2010 to 2012.

He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2021, the same night the nWo was inducted as well (but under the 2020 class).

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ERIC BISCHOFF!
