• Former WWE Champion Pushing To Get More NXT Wrestlers Called Up To SmackDown

Former WWE Champion Daniel Bryan has had significant influence over the creative process on SmackDown over the past couple of months, and his main motive has been to give younger talents a chance.

Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Bryan is pushing for WWE to call up more wrestlers from NXT to the blue brand. He thinks it’ll be a way to freshen up the main roster.

This past week, multiple reports stated that former NXT North American Champion Damian Priest’s debut on last week’s SmackDown was scrapped, and he’s now set to join RAW.

Former NXT Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley is also set to arrive on the main roster soon.
