Below are a couple of WWE & AEW news stories:

– Former WWE Champion Kofi Kingston suffered an ankle injury on the March 3rd episode of SmackDown, during a brawl segment and he has been out of action since then.

He previously revealed on the Battleground podcast over a month ago that he had ankle surgery to remove a bone chip and fix a ligament.

It’s been over 4 months since the New Day member appeared on WWE TV and it looks like he’ll be making a return soon.

While answering a fan’s question during a Q/A session on Fightful Select, Sean Ross Sapp reported that Kingston wasn’t supposed to be that “far off” from a return. He noted that this information was shared to him a week or two ago.

There’s a good possibility that Kingston will be back in the mix after SummerSlam.
