Below are some top WWE news stories of the day.

• According to PWInsider, Big E is set to return to WWE TV on next week’s RAW, joining The New Day’s 10-year anniversary celebration.

After a two-year absence due to a neck injury, Big E’s role in the tribute episode has been confirmed, though details remain uncertain.

Reports suggest he might serve as a “peacemaker” between Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods, who are having issues as of late.

On this week’s RAW, Alpha Academy (Otis & Akira Tozawa) defeated The New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods) in a very short match. Tozawa pinned Woods.

Kingston and Woods had a heated exchange after the match, where they traded insults. Woods said he’s the reason Kofi became WWE Champion. Kofi said he had a Hall of Fame career before he even met Woods. Kofi said Woods has never been a World Champion, or even held a singles title, like him or Big E because he’s not good enough.

Woods then mentioned Brock Lesnar while talking about how Kofi lost the WWE Championship:

“I was good enough to fight for you, wasn’t I? I was good enough to take your beatings for you, wasn’t I? I was good enough to believe in you, wasn’t I? Just like they believed in you. And what did we do with that? We turned it into KofiMania and we handed it to you. And what did you do with that, Kof? You pi$$ed it away on a silver platter in 6 seconds to Brock Lesnar.”

• Carmella’s return to WWE remains uncertain as she faces significant health challenges following the birth of her son, Dimitri Paul Polinsky.

She is dealing with drop foot, a condition affecting mobility, as well as two herniated discs in her back. These issues have delayed her comeback plans.

Here’s what Sean Ross Sapp said during a Fightful Select Q&A when asked if there have been discussions about Carmella’s return backstage in WWE:

“Not at all. Unfortunately, she’s suffered from drop foot after giving birth. That can be a tough thing to train through. I was always told that she’d be welcomed back.”

Despite the setbacks, Carmella has shown resilience, sharing updates about her recovery process, including seeking answers for her condition through medical evaluations.
