Former 3x Intercontinental Champion Shelton Benjamin is expected to sign with AEW following his WWE release, despite initial talks falling through.
Many fans felt Benjamin never fully reached his potential in previous promotions, and they’ve been eager to see him join AEW.
During AEW Grand Slam, MVP made his debut, hinting at future alliances with Swerve Strickland and including a subtle nod to the “Hurt Syndicate” on his card.
According to Ibou of WrestlePurists, Benjamin is set to sign with AEW soon, aligning with MVP’s recent debut and Bobby Lashley’s anticipated signing.
“Shelton Benjamin is AEW-bound and is expected to sign there.”
according to the report.
Jim Ross has also voiced his belief that Benjamin would be a valuable addition to any locker room.
