Santino Marella made his debut on the WWE main roster in 2007 and got released from the company in 2016.
After his release, he appeared on the RAW Reunion episode in 2019 and entered the Women’s Royal Rumble 2020 match as Santina Marella.
Santino has worked in IMPACT Wrestling before, and it looks like he could be returning.
Anthem Wrestling Exhibitions LLC (parent company of IMPACT Wrestling) recently secured the trademark for “Santino Marella”. The description includes:
– Entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests;
– Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer.
– Entertainment services, namely, live appearances by a a professional wrestler and sports entertainer.
– Entertainment services, namely, personal appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainment personality.
– Entertainment services, namely, televised appearances by a professional wrestling and sports entertainment personality.
WWE previously had the rights to the Santino Marella trademark, but they let it expire in October 2021.
This could mean Santino could appear in IMPACT Wrestling in 2023. Below are Santino’s accomplishments in WWE:
– 2x Intercontinental Champion
– 1x United States Champion
– 1x WWE Tag Team Champion
– Miss WrestleMania Battle Royal (2009) Winner
Speaking of Santino, his daughter is currently a wrestler in WWE NXT.
