Former NXT Tag Team Champion Tyler Breeze was under contract with WWE from 2010 to 2021 (2010-2012 in FCW, 2012-2015 in NXT, 2015-2018 on the main roster and 2019-2021 back in NXT).

His last WWE match took place on the June 16th 2021 episode of NXT, where he & Fandango defeated Imperium (Ludwig Kaiser & Giovanni Vinci).

Breeze was then released from the company due to COVID-19 related budget cuts.

Despite his release, Tyler still appears on Xavier Woods’ WWE sponsored UpUpDownDown gaming channel and also on WWE’s The Bump talk show.

According to Fightful Select, Breeze is under an UpUpDownDown-related WWE contract and isn’t allowed to appear in AEW despite not wrestling in WWE anymore.

Tyler returned to the ring recently after a 2 year break and defeated Matt Cross to win the NGW: TN Championship.

Breeze will now reunite with Fandango (who currently works in IMPACT Wrestling as Dirty Dango) and reform their “Breezango” tag team on October 8th for a match at NGW: TN’s Nightmare in the Old City event from Jackson Terminal in Knoxville.

Their new team name is “Dirty Breeze”.
