On this day in Pro Wrestling history on January 24, 1988, Jim Crockett Promotions aired ‘NWA Bunkhouse Stampede 1988’ event LIVE on PPV from the Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, New York.

This was the first and only ‘Bunkhouse Stampede’ event that aired as a pay-per-view.

It was held on the same night as the World Wrestling Federation’s Royal Rumble 1988, which was on free television though.

According to PWInsider, former WWE wrestler Santino Marella will be in Houston, Texas for this Sunday’s Royal Rumble 2020 pay-per-view and he is expected to be a surprise entrant in the Men’s Royal Rumble 2020 match.

With that being said, the following names are now expected to return for Men’s & Women’s Royal Rumble 2020 matches:

– Edge

– Jinder Mahal

– Velveteen Dream (either at Royal Rumble or WWE Worlds Collide)

– Naomi

– Nia Jax

– Ruby Riott

– Santino Marella
