• Former WWE Wrestler Officially Signs With AEW

AEW has officially signed Matt Sydal (fka Evan Bourne in WWE) to a contract.

Sydal has been competing in All Elite Wrestling for some time now, but wasn’t under a contract. He competed on last week’s Dynamite and lost to Brian Cage.

Sydal posted the following about his signing:

“I teared up when I saw the logo with my pic.

I did not do this alone. My hard work only worked because of the support I get from my family, friends and fans! 20 years of people helping, teaching and believing in me, even when I didn’t believe in myself. Thank you all. Onegaishimasu!¡Hagamoslo para el bien de todos!”

Sydal made his AEW debut during the Casino Battle Royale at AEW All Out 2020 pay-per-view, and botched his very first move (but thankfully wasn’t injured).
