• Former WWF Personality Says Vince McMahon Is Secretly Running AEW
During a recent interview on AdFreeShows, Old School WCW/WWF referee Nick Patrick became the first person in the wrestling business to ever suggest that it could be none other than Vince McMahon who is responsible for running AEW.
This conspiracy theory is extremely absurd and absolutely untrue though, because it’s common knowledge that Tony Khan is running the promotion, which was launched with the help of Tony’s father Shahid Khan, who invested $100 million in it.
Here’s what Nick Patrick had to say to defend his crazy theory:
“I’m one of those old conspiracy theory guys, I always think Vince McMahon is sitting behind every damn thing, and I’m usually right.
I’m just a conspiracy theory guy.
He may not be running the thing, but he knows everything that’s going on and there are other ways to control them.
I think it’s a work rivalry, honestly, but it’s a controlled-inner office work rivalry.”
