Former WWF Wrestler Returning To Pro-Wrestling, Stardust’s Return

Former Tough Enough Winner & WWF Hardcore Champion Maven is returning to Pro-Wrestling on July 19th at the Create-A-Pro Wrestling event in in Hicksville, New York. CAP is owned and operated by former WWE Superstar Curt Hawkins and Pat Buck. Maven cut the following promo for the show:

Maven debuted in 2001 and retired in 2007. He is a 3 time WWF Hardcore Champion. He eliminated The Undertaker from the Royal Rumble match in 2002 and also beat him to win his 1st ever Hardcore Title. Maven got 2 World Title matches in his tenure with the company: one against Chris Jericho for the WWF Undisputed Championship in 2002 and the other against Triple H for the World Heavyweight Championship, and lost both. Maven became a jobber soon and would be released from his WWE contract on July 5, 2005.

As we noted before, Cody Rhodes (a.k.a Stardust) was scheduled to return to WWE TV this week but that didn’t happen.

According to the Wrestling Observer, Stardust was backstage at this week’s WWE Raw, but wasn’t booked for TV. The belief is that WWE isn’t ready to turn Stardust babyface at the moment, and due to the fact that his father just passed away and people probably won’t want to “boo” him, they are waiting to bring him back to television.
