• Former WWF Wrestler The Berzerker Will Spend The Rest Of His Life In Assisted Living

Former WWF and WCW wrestler John Nord once again landed in trouble due to his drug addiction. Nord is best known as “The Berzerker” during his time in the WWF.

According to The Star Tribune, Nord was sentenced to 5 years of probation on Monday in a Hennepin County, Minnesota court room. Due to Nord’s habit of drunk driving, he was accused of carrying a threat to the public’s safety, which is why the prosecutor requested the court to send him to prison for a period of more than four years.

In his defense, Nord’s lawyer said that The Berzerker is currently going through treatment and will continue to spend the rest of his life under assisted-living facilities.

Jay Quam, the judge of Hennepin County District explained that the decision was a tough one for him. “Life has handed you a lot of special things. On the other hand, it’s taken away a lot of what makes you you”, said Quam.

The judge then announced that Nord must stay in restrictive housing, and also gave strict orders to prevent driving in any case. Under these conditions, Nord was placed on five years of probation.

In the end, the judge wished him well, and told him to appear before the court after three months. He also said that he wanted to see Nord doing better the next time he appears.

Nord has been arrested several times under charges of DUI. He got into trouble in March this year when he was charged with felony driving while intoxicated, operating a car under the influence of a controlled substance, and misdemeanour driving while license revoked.
