– On the post-WrestleDream episode of AEW Collision (that went head-to-head with WWE Fastlane), FTR surprisingly lost the AEW World Tag Team Championship to the team of Ricky Starks and Big Bill (fka Big Cass in WWE).
At first, the Wrestling Observer reported that the reason why FTR dropped the titles is because Cash Wheeler is dealing with an injury.
In an update, The Observer is reporting that Cash isn’t injured and FTR themselves pushed the idea of this dominating loss to Ricky & Bill:
“Cash Wheeler wasn’t hurt and it’s all storyline. It was just to put those guys over big and they’re going to be back in the mix and it was the match thing. I mean, the match thing was their idea.”
– In a new update on the CM Punk situation, the Wrestling Observer is reporting that the former World Champion wanted to return to WWE after almost 10 years, but Vince McMahon and other top Executives turned down his request, for now:
“They turned (CM Punk) down. He wanted to go there, and the decision was a no. It can always change, and it was brought up to me that there’s no such thing as ‘No forever’ when it comes to WWE, but it’s no for now.
That was the decision that was made. It’s Vince’s decision. Vince, Nick Khan, Paul Levesque, and obviously, they decided that the negatives outweighed the positives.”
Punk was last seen in WWE at Royal Rumble 2014.
– On last night’s NXT, The Undertaker returned to WWE TV. The American Badass punched and chokeslammed Bron Breakker.
