• According to the Wrestling Observer, gate (revenue from ticket sales) for AEW Grand Slam: Australia was at least $1.3 million. This isn’t the final number, as this was two days before the event.

This turned out to be the third biggest gate in All Elite Wrestling history. Below are the results from this show:

– Mercedes Mone (c) def. Harley Cameron to retain the TBS Women’s Championship

– Death Riders (AEW World Champion Jon Moxley & AEW Trios Champion Claudio Castagnoli) def. Jay White & Cope (Edge) in a Brisbane Brawl

– Kazuchika Okada (c) def. Buddy Matthews to retain the AEW Continental Championship

– “Timeless” Toni Storm def. Mariah May (c) to win the AEW Women’s World Championship

• During an interview on SHAK Wrestling, WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker praised World Heavyweight Champion Gunther, Jey Uso, and Jacob Fatu.

Here’s what The Phenom said:

“Gunther… that’s my guy. I love that dude. Honestly, everything he does, because he’s so different. He can work with anybody, and he does his style regardless. And he’s not a bunch of flippy-dos and meaningless moves.

Everything he does makes sense. He cuts a great promo. He believes in who he is, and in turn, the audience believes that’s who he is. And I haven’t really seen him ever where he was that far different than what you see on TV, even backstage, which, you know me, I appreciate that more than anything.

I like Gunther obviously. Jey Uso is excellent, Jacob… he hasn’t even scratched the surface, dude.

I love watching Jacob. I mean, he’s got ‘IT’. Like, when he’s on TV, you want to see what he’s doing. And so, again, that’s just… he’s only, again, another one of those who has just scratched the surface of where he has the potential to go.”
