Recently released WWE star Carlito tweeted the following about Hulk Hogan’s death: “Was I his biggest fan? No. Is he the GOAT of this business? Absolutely! Give this man his flowers! He is the reason this business is what it is today! RIP.”

SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis feels the same way. Here’s what he wrote:

“The industry lost a man today that redefined what success could look like in Pro Wrestling. This post is to acknowledge Hulk Hogan’s contributions to the industry, which are difficult to put into adequate words. Terry Bollea made personal choices that earned him understandable criticism, but I’m not here to weigh in on that. As someone who has put food on the table from pro wrestling for twenty years, I believe it is necessary to take a moment to recognize the importance of Hulk Hogan and Hulkamania to our business.

He pulled the wagon and brought a ton of people with him. Brought wrestling into the cable TV era, changed the game for the way performers could monetize their talent. Put simply, he showed us what was possible.

Also, he represents my childhood, and millions of others. That deserves recognition.

RIP Hulk Hogan.”

Bully Ray Slams Ex-Gawker Writer for “F**k That Guy” Comment on Hulk Hogan’s Death

Ex-Gawker writer Yvette d’Entremont wrote the following after Hulk Hogan’s death: “So Hulk Hogan died. As a former Gawker writer (as are all Gawker writers thanks to Hulk Hogan), I won’t be the first or the last to say ‘f**k that guy.’ Dance on any grave you want to, but this one’s mine.”

Yvette’s comments referenced Hogan’s highly publicized legal battle with Gawker Media, which stemmed from the site’s decision to publish a portion of Hogan’s leaked $ex tape. Hogan sued the company for invasion of privacy, and in 2016, he was awarded $140 million in damages. The judgment ultimately led to Gawker Media filing for bankruptcy and shutting down its flagship site. The lawsuit was notably funded by tech billionaire Peter Thiel, who had his own long-running feud with Gawker.

This led to Bully Ray aka Bubba Ray Dudley replying:

“Hi Yvette

F**k you too.

Brush ya hair.

xo

Bully”
