Goldberg beats The Fiend At Super ShowDown 2020

• Goldberg Comments On Fans Being Upset After He Defeated The Fiend

In the main event of WWE Super ShowDown 2020, WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg defeated “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt clean to win the Universal Championship for the second time.

During a recent interview with FOX Sports, Goldberg addressed this major win and fans being upset that the unstoppable Fiend, who had a lot of momentum going into the match, lost to the WCW Legend.

Here’s what Goldberg said:

“At the end of the day, I do a job, right? I’m asked to go out and perform and I don’t pass judgment on it. I don’t worry about a finish. I don’t worry about who’s winning. I don’t worry about who’s losing.

At the end of the day, I’m there to provide a service and I do it with a smile on my face either way. And I’m not a booker. I don’t make the decisions. I really don’t.

I just come in and provide ‘that guy’ and the only thing I can do in a situation like that is be the best package that they remember.”

For those who don’t know, Vince McMahon made the decision to have Goldberg defeat Fiend because he knew that would get Goldberg heat from the fans, and then Roman Reigns can get a better babyface reaction when he defeats Goldberg at WrestleMania 36 to become the new Universal Champion. However, Goldberg vs. Reigns got cancelled at the last moment.
