Below are a couple of top WWE news stories of the day, featuring Goldberg and CM Punk.
• In 2005, Adam Sandler’s remake of The Longest Yard brought together a star-studded cast, including Burt Reynolds, Chris Rock, Nelly, Terry Crews, and notable wrestlers like Goldberg, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Kevin Nash and The Great Khali.
Goldberg took on the role of Joey “Battle” Battaglio, a defensive player on the convicts’ team.
Reflecting on the experience, Goldberg shared his thoughts during a conversation with Ernest “The Cat” Miller on Cat’s Corner:
“It was one of the best experiences of my life because I was able to work alongside Burt Reynolds and Adam Sandler and Nelly. Obviously it was cool to be with the athletes too, but I rub shoulders with them a lot as it is. Just the whole eclectic group of people was awesome.
Adam took great care of everybody, but Nelly was literally the most down-to-earth dude on that set to me.”

• Bronson Reed has set his sights on CM Punk following Punk’s recent comments about potential opponents.
During an interview with Peter Rosenberg, CM Punk expressed his interest in facing several stars, including “Big” Bronson Reed.
Reed responded to Punk’s comments on X with a bold and colorful taunt:
“I AM MONEY!
I’ll whoop him so hard his Pepsi logo will turn to a Coca Cola one, taste the feeling b*tch!”
This comes amid speculation about CM Punk’s future WWE appearances, as he has been off television since RAW after Bad Blood. Rumors suggest Punk might return at the upcoming Survivor Series premium live event on November 30.
