Below are some top WWE news stories of the day, involving Goldberg and Nikki Bella.

• Goldberg’s appearance on RAW in Atlanta on January 27th is still uncertain. Despite initial reports suggesting his presence, WWE has not advertised him for the show.

Goldberg announced on ESPN’s College Gameday that he would have his retirement match in WWE this year. His last match was in 2022, where he lost to Roman Reigns in a Universal Championship match in Saudi Arabia at the Elimination Chamber PLE.

He had a confrontation with World Heavyweight Champion Gunther at Bad Blood, hinting at a possible retirement match, but no date has been set.

Here’s what the Wrestling Observer noted about Goldberg’s RAW status:

“I don’t know about Goldberg, other than, you know, he was on the show. I have not heard confirmation that he’s on the show now, one way or the other, because he wasn’t advertised. Maybe they want to do a surprise… I mean, it would make sense. But so I’m still trying to find out what’s going on with that, because neither of them (Goldberg & Gunther) were advertised, but both of them were certainly, you know, planned to be on the show.”

There’s also speculation that Goldberg might appear on Saturday Night’s Main Event to confront Gunther or possibly interfere in his match against Jey Uso.

• WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella attended the RAW on Netflix premiere in Los Angeles, walking the red carpet ahead of the event.

A two-time WWE Divas Champion, Bella was a prominent figure in WWE during the Divas Era and starred in reality shows like Total Divas and Total Bellas alongside her twin sister.

When asked about a potential WWE return, Nikki teased, “Will we ever see The Bella Twins back? Good question. I just may be here looking at my competition soon, so stay tuned.”

In an update, WrestleVotes reported that the possibility of Nikki coming out of retirement is very real and could happen soon:

“We’re told significant discussions have taken place regarding a Nikki Bella return to action, with the strong expectation from multiple WWE sources that it will happen sooner rather than later.”

Nikki finalized her divorce from Artem Chigvintsev in November. The split followed Chigvintsev’s August arrest for domestic violence, though charges were dropped in September due to insufficient evidence.

She last competed in 2022, during the Women’s Royal Rumble match. Her last singles match took place in 2018.
