On this day in 1990, the World Wrestling Federation aired an episode of their weekly TV show ‘WWF Superstars of Wrestling’.
This episode was pre-taped at the Jefferson Civic Center in Birmingham, Alabama and featured matches & storyline segments on the road to the ‘WWF Royal Rumble 1990’ PPV.

• Good News For Fans Of WWE’s Female Stars
As seen on last week’s episode of RAW & SmackDown, WWE did edgy-Attitude Era type segments (in a PG way) with Alexa Bliss & Mandy Rose.
You can watch these segments below:
Both these segments did big numbers on WWE’s YouTube channel, with Alexa’s segment drawing 6.2 million views and Mandy’s segment drawing 3.3 million views (as of this writing).
According to the Wrestling Observer, WWE will continue to do segments like this in hope of gaining teenage male fans and an eventual increase in viewership down the line.
