The Rock returned to RAW after 8 years on the January 1st episode and laid out Jinder Mahal.
After this, Rock teased a long-awaited feud with his cousin, Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, by saying that he’s hungry and asked the fans if he should sit at the “Head of the Table”.

This began speculation that we’re finally getting Rock vs. Reigns, either at Elimination Chamber in Australia in February or at WrestleMania 40 in Philadelphia in April.
It looks like WWE will do this match at WrestleMania 40, because Reigns isn’t scheduled to be a part of Elimination Chamber.
Here’s what the Wrestling Observer reported:
“What we did have confirmed is the Australia rumors aren’t accurate. Roman Reigns is not even scheduled for the (Elimination Chamber) show. He’s never been advertised and there are no plans for him for that date right now.”
Reflecting on his return, Rock noted in an Instagram post that we’re just getting started.
In another Instagram post, The Rock is teasing doing things that have never been done before in WWE. Below is what he wrote:
“These ‘electrifying’ nights are so special and unforgettable. The connection with the people, the energy, vibe, authenticity, disruption, love, mana — the CHILLS.
And now we make history, raise the bar and do things that have never been done before in WWE.
We go all out.
