• Good News For WWE Fans Regarding WrestleMania 42
According to WrestleTix, WWE has lowered ticket prices for WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas. The cheapest ticket for Night 2 (Sunday) has dropped from $254 to $177. Night 1 (Saturday) tickets have also fallen from $228 to $177.
This comes amid reports of slower ticket sales compared to last year, with around 36,000-37,000 tickets distributed per night according to the last update — well below last year’s WrestleMania 41 at the same venue.
WWE has officially announced the following matches for WrestleMania 42 so far:
– World Heavyweight Championship Match: CM Punk (c) vs. Roman Reigns
– Undisputed WWE Championship Match: Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Randy Orton
– WWE Women’s Championship Match: Jade Cargill (c) vs. Rhea Ripley
– Women’s World Championship Match: Stephanie Vaquer (c) vs. Liv Morgan
– Brock Lesnar’s open challenge
• WWE Planning Eye-Catching Start To WrestleMania 42
WWE is looking to spice up the WrestleMania 42 card with some extra stipulations. Because the opening matches in Las Vegas will air on regular ESPN channels, officials want to make sure the action is as eye-catching as possible.
According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, the plan is to add stipulations to those early bouts. The hope is that a wild, can’t-miss opening match will grab casual viewers on cable and convince them to subscribe so they can watch the rest of the show.
It’s all part of a bigger strategy to use their new ESPN partnership to drive as many new sign-ups as possible.
