Gunther Defeated NXT Champ On Tonight’s SmackDown

WWE SmackDown, which took place in Barcelona, Spain, has already aired in International markets on Netflix. It will air in the US at its normal timeslot. Below are the results.

– SmackDown In Barcelona kicked off with LA Knight celebrating becoming the new United States Champion. Jimmy Uso interrupted and said he wants to challenge LA for the Title tonight. Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, and Tama Tonga interrupted. Solo said if anyone is getting a title match tonight, it should be Jacob. They attacked LA & Jimmy, which led to Braun Strowman making the save. Nick Aldis came out and booked them in a 6-man tag team match.

– United States Champion LA Knight, Jimmy Uso, and Braun Strowman def. Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, and Tama Tonga

Fatu attacked Strowman after the match.

– Jade Cargill said she finds it funny that Naomi played the victim against her knowing that everything she did was out of envy. Jade said she knew it was Naomi from the beginning, after getting hit and seeing Naomi run away. Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez interrupted and demanded an apology for everyone thinking it was them. Jade said she will not apologize to Liv, and instead challenged her to a match for next week.

– Charlotte Flair def. B-Fab

This was Charlotte’s first singles match after 15 months. After the match, Charlotte kept B-Fab in her submission. WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton came out and the two got into a brawl. During this brawl, there was a horrible botch when Stratton did a Swanton Bomb on Flair and the security, and Flair fell down despite Stratton not even touching her. You can watch it below:

– Drew McIntyre claimed that every time something bad happened to him, Damian Priest was there to reap the benefits. Drew said he will put Damian down for good, so he can no longer take anything from him.

– WWE Champion Cody Rhodes appeared on Miz TV. The Miz told the fans to shut up and wants Cody to answer his questions. Cody took out The Miz with a Cross Rhodes, and said he doesn’t want to talk with Miz, he wants to talk to John Cena. The American Nightmare said:

“If you can find it worth your time to join us, John, on the road to WrestleMania next Monday, just know – I’ll be there too.”

– A mystery vignette aired on the show, which is for Rey Fenix. You can watch it below:

– Damian Priest def. Shinsuke Nakamura via DQ after Drew McIntyre interfered and attacked Priest

After the match, Drew beat down Damian.

– The faction of Chelsea Green, Piper Niven, & Alba Fyre will be known as The Green Administration.

– Randy Orton def. Carmelo Hayes

Orton offered a handshake to Hayes after the match, but Hayes disrespected him, which led to Orton hitting another RKO. Orton was looking to hit a Punt Kick, but Kevin Owens saved Hayes. Orton and Owens then brawled, but Owens managed to escape.

Prior to the match, fans sang Orton’s theme song “Voices” out loud and The Viper enjoyed every second of it! You can watch it below:

– Another mystery vignette aired, and this one looks for Aleister Black, who is also rumored to return to WWE.

– Gunther challenged national hero of Spain, Axiom, to a match.

– World Heavyweight Champion Gunther def. NXT Tag Team Champion Axiom

Gunther put Axiom in a sleeper hold after the match.

– Paul Heyman declared that today is “Roman Reigns Day” because it is the release of WWE 2K25, and The Tribal Chief is the cover star for this year’s game. Heyman announced that Roman will be on next week’s SmackDown in Bologna, Italy and if anyone has a problem with Roman, they can show up and say it to his face.

The fans in Spain booed the fact that Roman will appear in Italy. This led to Heyman saying:

“Hey, don’t boo, all you have to do is buy a plane ticket on cheapo airlines and fly over to Bologna, it’s not like Mussolini is at the border stopping you from getting in.”

– Gunther asked Jimmy Uso to talk to Jey Uso and get him to pull out of their World Heavyweight Title match at WrestleMania 41.

– The Street Profits def. #DIY (c) to win the WWE Tag Team Championship
